Project Description

The new 443 Maritime Helicopter Squadron headquarters provides 20,000 m2 of hangar and administration space, effectively consolidating all operations and support functions into a single facility. Key to the $104-million project's success was DCC's ability to keep team members in place throughout the 33-month construction period, thus maintaining continuity and critical timings.

Designed to accommodate the squadron's transition from Sea Kings to new Sikorsky Cyclones, the facility offers both safety and forward thinking. The building features overhead cranes and workshops that meet modern occupational health and safety regulations, and dedicated space for the repair and care of the Cyclones' composite body materials.
