DCC honoured for excellence in procurement

DCC was awarded the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the U.S. National Procurement Institute.

The high quality of DCC’s procurement practices has been recognized once again. The U.S. National Procurement Institute’s Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award—which DCC has received for the fourth year in a row—recognizes excellence in a number of areas related to procurement, including ethics, innovation and e-procurement. DCC was one of only five organizations in Canada to win the award in 2017.

DCC Workplace Charitable Campaign wins national award

DCC was honoured with the National Team Spirit Award at the 2016 Charitable Campaign Recognition Awards ceremony on February 21, 2017. This special event brings together Government of Canada Charitable Workplace Campaign volunteers and teams to celebrate leadership, commitment and unwavering enthusiasm demonstrated during the campaign. The National Team Spirit Award recognizes success in creating a nation-wide campaign and engaging employees across the country. Nationally, DCC surpassed its goal in 2016 by 40%, breaking the $100,000 barrier for the first time.

Defence Construction Canada wins Canada's Safest Employer award

DCC received the Gold Award in the Public Sector category for its commitment to occupational health and safety.

DCC has been recognized as one of Canada's Safest Employers in 2016 for its commitment to occupational health and safety (OHS) by Canadian Occupational Safety. Canada's Safest Employers Awards recognize companies from all across Canada with outstanding accomplishments in promoting the health and safety of their workers.

Industry honours DCC for pioneering work in electronic procurement

DCC's work to bring electronic procurement to the federal public sector has been recognized by a leading industry group. The Canadian Institute for Procurement and Material Management honoured recent DCC retiree Richard Allie with its 2016 Project Management Award. This award recognizes an individual's innovation, achievement and leadership when carrying out a procurement project

DCC recognized for its excellence in business communications

DCC received the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Canadian national Silver Leaf Award of Merit, for communications management related to social media programs. This award recognized the engagement strategy developed for DCC's use of social media.

DCC honoured for excellence in corporate reporting

DCC won the CPA´s 2015 Award of Excellence in the small federal Crown Corporations category for the 2013–2014 Corporate Plan and Annual Report

For the fourth time since 2010, DCC has been recognized for the quality of its corporate financial reporting by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). DCC won the association´s 2015 Award of Excellence in the small federal Crown Corporations category for the 2013—2014 Corporate Plan and Annual Report.
